So, I rarely actually post on tumblr. I reblog a lot though. Therefore, today I thought I would write something for my very minimal, but wonderful tumblr followers.
I love music. It’s something that can change your mood in a split second. And, once I find a truly talented artist or hear a catchy song I can’t contain my excitement.
Consequently, I am going to write about some of my favourite musical tunes at the moment:
- Losing Your Memory, Ryan Star.
I heard this song on the Vampire Diaries (amazing show) and loved it. It is just one of those songs where I instantly thought, “I need to download this… now!”
- Small Bump, Ed Sheeran.
Where do I begin? I am obsessed with Ed. PURE TALENT. His voice is perfection, no autotune, just him singing! Small Bump has meaning to it too. It’s about his friend who lost his baby so young, and you can feel the emotion in the song.
- Now That I’ve Found You, Paul McDonald feat. Nikki Reed.
This song is the cutest. I could just imagine this as a first dance song at a wedding. The lyrics are adorable! Also, it is sung by a husband and wife which makes it even more cute. It’s so catchy.
- Jessie’s Girl, Rick Springfield.
This is just a fun song and I’ve been listening to it this week! So good, you can never go wrong with a bit of ‘80’s music. I recommend ‘80’s music if you are feeling sad because it can really cheer you up!
- Heartkiller, Kat Graham.
I downloaded this song yesterday as it was free on iTunes and I was pleasantly surprised. If you are a fan of pop music then listen to this, it will make you want to dance!
- Satellite, The Wanted.
I moved to the US a year and half ago from the UK so already knew about The Wanted who are a british band. But, their EP finally was released in the States and I love it. The music isn’t deep but it’s fun. Satellite is one of my favourites from the EP.
I hope whoever may be reading this will possibly listen to these songs!
& I will be delighted if you enjoy them as much as do.
To finish; here is a quote which I like very much.
“Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” ~Berthold Auerbach
